❝As an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. With great delight I sat in his shadow, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. —Song of Solomon 2:3
[ Perhaps they find amusement with the statement, but APPLe doesn't wait for them to finish that. He doesn't want to hear it. His little floating shadow form turns into a grinning, two-seater car that resembles an apple and he jams the accelerator to try and ram himself onto Sika Madu despite the fact that they have wings, seems injured and tired. He cannot forgive and his head feels a little clearer than before—the Tuesday that was full of insanity in that apple brain of his.
It's full speed ahead towards the seraphim, but sometimes, Icarus flies a little too close to the sun. It doesn't matter. He will try and try again. ]
( APPLe hits the accelerator and the wood squeals under him and his headlights flash into Sika's eyes and for a moment there is nothing but that smear of black ocean and black eye and the pale featureless white of their body and the flash of sunlight gold of their eyes and then
There is a trembling; rumbling of impact of shattering flesh and bones and wood and Sika smiles as they go over the edge and deep, deep into the black water.
A darkness swallows APPLe. For a second it seems he may be dead. That perhaps Sika laid (another?) trap for him, that there is death beyond death, infinitely stretching, on the path beyond him.
Orienting himself as a car, he will recognize two things 1) he is sinking into the ocean, and it is dark in all directions; 2) he can rev his engines and force himself forward in some direction, but he is fighting against a downward pull and forcing himself against water's mass and ocean's current.
The pulsing lights drift in and out of view, in the distance, like angler fish. The scent and taste of iron seeps its way into Apple with the water, and some part of them recognizes that - this ocean is made of blood, itself. This ocean is Sika's blood. They are bleeding now, but they are always bleeding out.
He feels a gentle weight come upon the roof of him; a broken, twisted body, wrapping its arms around his roof, and only the traces of thick, rich, blue blood spiraling out of the pale, bruised figure tells Apple that this body is Sika Madu's, their blood joining the thickened-black blood of the ocean around them. )
Do you feel better?
( Their voice is like a siren's, so it carries even better in the sea - as if every wave carries them, their voice lapping against every curve of the thing Apple has been reduced to.
Apple can answer, and his voice carries strangely well in the water, if he tries. Not as electric as Sika Madu's, but certainly audible. )
Would you like to strike me again? Will it help? Will it rot whatever's left of you, little shadow?
[ Sika's voice is something APPLe doesn't want to quite hear. It always gives him strange feelings as if he's always compelled to do something. Even with the simplest words, just like in the beginning, just like in that god forsaken elevator—
To APPLe, this is petty vengeance. He knows it won't help him feel better in the long run. In the end, he is simply an apple with human morals and that involves murder, but not so tightly constrained by it. (Amethyst dorm voice: murder is okay) ]
Sod off.
[ In the heaviest British accent he can muster, clearly offended. This blood ocean would make him puke if he had a mouth. ]
Perhaps striking you once more would help me, unlike you where nothing can.
Isn't this your own fault? Aren't you the one who overreacted and tried to kill everyone? Why am I the witch for removing one for the good of the whole?
( Like a bucking bull, Sika is whipped off from APPLe into the bright lights and smile before him. What APPLe sees for the briefest moment is something like a jellyfish - a cascade of white tendrils, and shredded flesh; more a shape than a human.
Whether this is a trick of the light, or Sika Madu in his brutalized state and flowing hair and robes, APPLe doesn't get a clear chance to check, because he's pumped the gas and he is going, and APPLe's back on the dock and the wood squeals under him and his headlights flash into Lavi's eye for a moment there is nothing but that smear of black ocean and green eye and the pale silhouette of his body and the way his head rips from his body from the sheer force of impact and his rib cage explodes across the hood and windshield as they go over into the ocean and
APPLe doesn't get a clear chance to check, because he's pumped the gas and he is going, and APPLe's back on the dock and the wood squeals under him and his headlights flash into Louis's eyes for a moment there is nothing but that smear of black ocean and red eyes and the pale silhouette of his body and the way his jaw splits from him and the rest of him bursts and he just splits open down the middle like a book spilling so much more blood than he could have in his body across the hood and windshield as they go over into the ocean and
APPLe doesn't get a clear chance to check, because he's pumped the gas and he is going, and APPLe's back on the dock and the wood squeals under him and his headlights flash into Dehya's eyes for a moment there is nothing but that smear of black ocean and blue eyes and the pale silhouette of her body and the way arms shatter and rip on impact (because of course she tried to stop you, first) and it just undoes her, meat and bone and skin unraveling from point of impact across the hood and windshield as they go over into the ocean and
APPLe doesn't get a clear chance to check, because he's pumped the gas and he is going, and APPLe's back on the dock and the wood squeals under him and his headlights flash into Elan's eyes for a moment there is nothing but that smear of black ocean and green eyes and the pale silhouette of his body and the way his bones crackle and shatter with fragile ease like there was nothing he could have done to stop anyone from breaking him and the splatter of meat and muscle smash across the hood and windshield as they go over into the ocean and
APPLe his the gas again, and again, and again, unable to process what he's done until he's already maxed out the gas on the next person, the order of deaths random yet inarguably even, each Amethyst an even victim to APPLe's misplaced fury (and it is misplaced; shhh, shh; they were just trying to help everybody, do you understand?).
It is only when they have hit a point when it is long past too much does APPLe finally find himself accelerating into, mercifully, nothing but the sea-rotted fence before him at the end of the pier, and into the black ocean before him, and find himself sinking down deep below.
Sika, if he is still there, says nothing, but APPLe can nearly hear how the waves seem to echo Do you feel better now? in a tone that must be caring - but can surely only sound mocking.
But, then again, Sika Madu isn't there. Perhaps APPLe's just imagining it. He is awfully unreasonable and irrational and emotional, after all. )
[ APPLe breaks a little more each and every time. He isn't prone to violence nor extreme emotions—this much he is sure of despite the spotty memories. But it doesn't matter. The mind is weary. He feels like another part is shredded just like the skin, bone, and just about everything he shredded with his tires while the car seemingly grinned the entire time.
Unreasonable, irrational, and emotional. Those were the traits of someone else who was probably once dear to him, but he doesn't remember. His memories feel like they scatter again and again and again. He keeps hearing Sika Madu's voice and his form shrinks to the shadow form, which is quite unstable in the blood water. Is he sinking? Is he in stasis? He doesn't know. The blue blood ocean seems without end.
The only relief he can feel is to be without consciousness. Fortunately for him, he has no more energy to deal with this. ]

[ Nothing will convince APPLe of it otherwise. He is so mad. ]
I did not try to kill everyone and I certainly did not overreact.
[ okay?? Apple??? ]

[ APPLe attempts to turn in this blue blood ocean but also tries to shake Sika off.
His real goal? Maybe pump the gas with the tires on Sika's face so that he can get rid of their MOUTH!! HEATHEN!! ]
